We like to meet with you at your home or land to get a feel for your location and understand your building project or home renovation vision. We discuss what you must achieve and what you would like to accomplish. This broad discussion allows us to understand your particular requirements, and guides the need for further design and planning services.
We will work with you to understand exactly what you want from your building project or home renovation and find the best strategies to achieve your goals. We can recommend an architect or building designer who is best suited to your needs and style. Or we can work with an architect or designer of your choosing. Alternatively, if you have pre-approved council plans, we can commence quoting your project immediately. We will also ensure that your design complies with council requirements and building codes while adhering strictly to your budget.
Spieker Constructions will provide a comprehensive, written quote which details every aspect of your building project and a timeframe for its successful delivery.
We will collaborate with any additional consultants that are required for your project. From surveyors to engineers, we will ensure that the required documentation is prepared and submitted to council for approval. We will monitor your application’s approval process and keep you informed about its progress. We will also arrange necessary inspections and certification at critical stages to confirm building works meet relevant Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia and council regulations.
Once we have final design plans, specifications and pricing, we prepare the building contract for your review before signing. Spieker Constructions uses standard building contracts provided by the Housing Industry of Australia (HIA). We will sit down with you to discuss any questions you have before we sign the contract together.
Work begins and will progress steadily throughout the build. Dave Spieker will personally manage your project, from conception to completion, ensuring you are consistently informed of its progress. Dave will also guide you as to when decisions on material selections are required and will source key samples to help make these selection decisions. We encourage you to visit the building site, so you feel as involved in the process as possible.
All done….your beautiful home is successfully finished. We will meet with you to walk you through your building project or renovation and discuss any questions you may have. We will arrange any final inspections or certificates (if required).
